Current Mood: indescribable

Yesterday while at work my friends and I bypassed a restriction on the DnL Forums by using their IP and Babelfish so we could get keys to Settlers of Ganareth. The 4 of us managed to grab keys to the game. Only 10,000 (worldwide) were available and they went in 1 minute and 20 seconds. Needless to say that we were pretty lucky that our bypass ended up working out for us. And now I feel all special because I got one so easily.

Also, yesterday people decided that they had to park in the parking garages since it was going to snow later in the day. I ended up getting to work 30 minutes before I normally do and I had to park on the top deck, which is not covered. Yes, I was pretty pissed off. People that don't normally park there start parking there due to changes in the weather. That is just LAME. So I had to scrape snow off my car and I ended up getting home 30 minutes after I left my "desk". And, I only live 5 minutes away. *insert big eye roll*

I'm glad that I have a garage at my apartment. It sure is nice not having to scrape snow off of my car in the morning.

And only 16 more days until the big event. I'm so nervous, but I shouldn't be.

Don't have too much to add. I was just going to post a few things.

Tomorrow is our Christmas party for work. It's at a martini bar. Yay for free drinks and food!

And Thursday is the first day you can download Settlers of Ganareth, the prequil to Dark and Light (massive MMORPG) which will come out in April 2006. I don't know if I will be able to get a key to that Thursday or not. They are only letting 10,000 people get a key and the time it starts is noon (or 6 pm GMT). Hopefully, I will get one. I'm sure going to try pretty hard anyway. The game looks like it's going to be pretty cool.

Only ~19 more days until I meet Jonner. Of course, I'm being teased about it daily at work. :-( No matter what I say the guys turn it around and end up teasing me about him. And they say they're going to really tease me when he's here. I hope they are kidding about that. I don't wanna be embarrassed and I don't want him to be either. That'd be bad.

I'm sitting here by myself in a hotel room. It's kinda boring. I can't get any of my friends to talk to me on AIM. I'm also listening to my friends on the Vent Channel. They are playing some computer game, probably Civ IV. My laptop's internal mic doesn't want to work and when I configure my line-in/mic port as microphone, it doesn't work either. (Damn 6 year old Acer). So, I can't talk to them at all. But, why am I still listening to them? I don't know. Maybe I need to get a life...

I guess the next game I'm (we're) going to try is Settlers of Ganareth, the prequel to Dark And Light, which is out April 2006. It looks cool, but I think I'm spending too much time playing games. :-(

I'm probably (most likely) going to be getting that bass guitar. It's going to be a Christmas present to myself. I miss being in the Columbus band, but I don't miss Columbus. Actually, I drove through there today on my way to TN. Speaking of Christmas or holidays for that matter, I'm really not looking forward to Thanksgiving or Christmas. I just wish we could skip those holidays. Why? Well, you can't buy me what I want for Christmas. And, I get so tired of being asked if I have a boyfriend and why I don't have one. Yes, I focus on that alot, but do you know how much it hurts my feelings?

Anyway, I'm gonna go call my mom. I'm bored. And I need to stop liking jonner.

Armor can be dyed in this game, which is really cool and can make the same armor unique with a touch of color.

Okay, so it's been a while since I updated this. I've mainly been keeping it for my Killers communities, since no one really seems to read this.

I started playing Guild Wars a while ago. It's pretty fun. Perhaps I can post pictures of Midnight Show (Ranger/Necro) and Stoermer Bass (Warrior/Monk). That is, if anyone is interested.

Other news... let's see.

About a month ago, I was made a Moderator of The Killers Network. It's an honor for me, so be happy for me. If you want to know anything about The Killers, this is the place to be. I'm einhormd on there, so if you join, send me a "hello".

Work is going well. We've had lots of free meals this week. (woot) We have an event in Chicago this weekend too at The House of Blues. Should be a lot of fun. I can't wait.

I'm thinking about going to Nashville, TN to see the Harry Potter movie with some friends from TKN. My only worry is driving so far by myself. But, it will be a lot of fun and I really want to do it (and see my friends again). The guys at work mentioned going to see it in Peoria the other day. It was kinda funny because they got all mad when I said I had an offer to go see it already. Muhaha.

Last... so I talk on a Vent server with some of Ryan's (a co-worker) friends that also play GW. And, I'm kinda getting this crush on one of his friends. And, you know, I don't like that because I don't really know him and I've never met/seen him. Grrrrr. It has been awhile since I've really been interested in anyone though. And it is soooo much fun being teased about it by my 3 co-workers too (not really). Dunno what to do. Ride it out or try to put a stop to it.

The Killers won the award for World's Best-Selling New Group at the World Music Awards this past week.

Take that again!

-----------------------
So bored. Started playing Guild Wars because my work buddies wouldn't stop trying to talk me into it. (Peer pressure.) It's a good game except my crappy internal video card isn't supported. My computer keeps rebooting when I play the game. So, I ordered a new video card. If the guy that built my computer would've gotten me a good one in the first place, I wouldn't have this problem. *Idiot*

That is all.

Anyone interested in buying a slightly used copy of The Sims 2?

If so, lemme know. I'd like to sell it because I have only played it like once.

How's $30 sound?

Another boring Friday night...

On another note, the guys at work are obsessed with World of Warcraft (WOW). All they talk about are computer games. So boring...

Need friends...

I'm out at the client site now and uh... this place is bigger than Rose-Hulman. I kid you not. More buildings too. (I'm only counting academic buildings.) We always have meetings in the building that is closer to where the rest of my team (except us 6 new people) sit. The only nice part about this is that there are underground tunnels that connect all 9 buildings.

Anyway, I just thought I'd mention that I walked 2.572 miles at work today (after I put my pedometer on). I hauled ass from P to K in just 7 minutes. It normally takes 10 - 15.

Damn, my feet hurt.

Yay! I got a garage today! I'm so happy!

And, I won't bore everyone with my Killers concert stories. There is some stuff in there I want to keep to myself. But, a good time was had by all.

I especially appreciate meeting up with the ladies from TKN. I had a blast with them and I wish I had friends like that around here. ;-(

Current Mood: calm
Current Music: Dr. Phil
Okay... So I got that new Zalman fan and now my PC is hella quiet. Yes, I can hear a fan running, but it's not the low high-pitched constant whine. And, this fan has speed control, which is awesome. Get one in stores today!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a great movie. I really loved Johnny Depp in it. "You're really weird!"

I met The Killers in Louisville, KY again. I also saw them in Indy, but it was so packed full of Brandon loving teenie boppers that it was hard to get pictures with the guys. You know, the kind that only know who Brandon is (the lead singer in case you don't know). And then some that don't know him until you point out that it is him. *rolls eyes* I heard so many dumb comments from fans at this show. The friends from TKN that I met up with were telling me about these things people actually said. I didn't get pictures with them that night, but I did get Mark's autograph, well sorta. This will be explained later. But, I did help ET get autographs from everyone except Brandon on his Hot Fuss CD. Brandon apparently came out after most people left, which is okay with me. He deserves the right to choose. I was disappointed, but I respect his choice. ET got Brandon's autograph in Louisville though, so he does have it, just not with Mark's, Dave's, & Ronnie's.

More details to follow. I know all you guys want to read up about it. *cough*I'm kidding myself!*cough* I know most of you don't care.

EDIT: I will be going out to the B.I.C. this week for work. Should be fun.

EDIT2: Oh, so we were out around town this weekend and we found this world market place. They have food from all over the world, mostly candy, pasta, wine, coffee, etc. I found my Oliver Soft Red Wine in there. Oliver wine is made in Bloomington, IN (which was about an hour from where I used to live) and it was very populous over there. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in this World Market store, which we almost took as a furniture store, because they had chairs sitting outside that were for sale. But, it's weird that I was able to buy my Bloomington, IN wine in Bloomington, IL. Oh, and they also had my white chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate Toblerone!!!!!!!! The milk chocolate you can get at Target or Wal-Mart, but the dark & white I always had to buy in Nashville, IN (30 minutes away). Now, I'm all set!!! Talk about some good finds this weekend. (Toblerone is my favorite candy bar, by the way, from Switzerland.)

What is Harry Potter? Well, it's this book that I pre-ordered that didn't come in the mail today, like it was supposed to. I can't believe this. I am so pissed off. I mean, I pre-ordered it so I wouldn't have to go fight the crowds at the stores to get a copy. I mean, I ordered it for $24 and K-Mart is selling it for about $19. What the hell?

This is ridiculous and they better give me some sort of coupon or something for their mistake. And if it isn't Barnes & Noble.com's mistake, I don't care. They need to whip the Postal Carriers into shape and let them know time is money. When things aren't delievered on time, it's loss of revenue. I would do it. Assholes.

And only 4 & 6 days to my next 2 Killers concerts. :-)

Would you buy this fan even though it is 918g and the recommended maximum weight for a cooler is specified as 450g for Intel Socket 775?

Just wondered. I am thinking of replacing my current fan (because it is too loud) and these are supposed to be really quiet.

So, let me know if you have an opinion...

So, I took one of the fans off of my computer to look at it and then I put it back. Now my computer likes restarting itself. And, it says some setup file is missing or something. The XP setup disk will not let me do a repair. Instead, it wants me to format my computer. There is no way in hell I want to do that.

Anyone see any reason why removing the fan and putting it back exactly as it was would do this?

*so pissed*

Another question...

Where is a good place to get a reasonably priced wireless card for my laptop (yes, it's still the Acer)...

BTW - I moved. Yeah, so I had been job searching for about 3 months. If you want to know more, I can e-mail you. I don't want to put too much up here.

A little bit to note: I am a Senior Programmer for Accenture Technology Solutions. Right now, I'm being paid to work at home. :-)

That's all you need to know for now, I think.

And, I didn't put a post on Tuesday, so I'm going to back post.
